I’m still salty as fuck that Chevy ruined a perfectly good restrained car design in the name of being ‘hip’. And look at how much smaller the rear window is! WTF, GM?

If they styled the new one to look ‘hip,’ then they failed quite miserably.

It went from rental car to sexay rental car.

I prefer the new one, it looks less “cartoonish.” Especially the headlamps and taillamps.
agree with you about the backlite, though.

It's the same level of frustration I see from the first-gen Mazda3 into the following two versions. It seems like many manufacturers have gone from mimicking understated European design into more "edgy" Asian designs. This one isn't terrible, I just think the front end looks too much like Chrysler (200/Dart/Pacifica)

New one still looks vastly better to me. The old Cruze was handsome when it came out, but that shitty little “refresh” they did ruined it for me.

Don’t you dare post a new Malibu next... Those things are too ugly to even look at or think about.

Yeah dawg! Hip! That’s why there’s emoticons in all of the advertisements! That’s what the kids like!

You don't style a car to be hip. You style a car to be "dynamic." Time to catch up on your press releases, bro! :D

Wait, there was a refresh of the 1st-gen?

The front end used to be a much cleaner design with a way less haphazardly placed bowtie.

I think emoticons are fucking bullshit.
![]() 04/26/2016 at 10:37 |

Well if they wanted it to be dynamic, they failed on that too.

Wow that’s subtle. I like the old one far better.

I think it’s an improvement. I like the old Cruze as a whole, but the refresh was lame, and I never liked the droopy taillights.

Chevy Cruze > Ted Cruz

My thoughts exactly.

This is a bad take and you should feel bad.
Here are four Cruzes (two old/two new) next to each other when I was at the dealer on Saturday for an oil change. Also, the interiors are vastly improved.

Why not get the Holden/Chevy Cruze hatchback 2008-2016?
Here is a 2012 Curze (South Korea Facelift) I like this one
The best Cruze by far is the race car
Bonus name sake car, the Chevy Cruze (Suzuki Ignis) 2001-2008:

The hatchback isn’t out in America yet, and we never got the estate variant.

We will never get either.

What. the Cruze hatch is released in America for the 2017 model year, so probably Q3 2016

Really? I hadn’t heard anything like that. Cool I guess. Doubt it’ll sell well.
